Cut & Paste: image, abstraction, and composition in collage

Friday, January 24, 2025 at 7:00 PM until 10:00 PMCentral Standard Time UTC -06:00

From decorative pastime to countercultural rallying cry, collage has a long and multifaceted history in art and craft. You will be exploring introductory material and technical approaches to making abstract compositions in cut and glued paper, and will be experimenting, playing, cutting, tearing, and remixing to your heart’s content. We will end with an informal presentation of our creations and a brief and highly incomplete lecture on collage from the 19th to the 21st century.
